“A Change Done Come”

By

Habakkuk 2:3

“Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed.”

I woke to a warm breeze this morning,
sunlight sifting gentle through them weathered trees.
The air felt fresh and tender, like the Lord Himself
was pressing soft kisses on my cheek
after a long and weary day.

Days like this don’t come often—
they’re the kind you tuck away in your heart.

I write this as I sit and wait,
quiet and patient, for my love to return.
I can feel it deep down—
the wheels of change have been turning,
like an old spinning wheel,
pulling thread from rough, worn wool.

Pslam 30:5

Tears may flow in the night,
but joy comes in the morning.

It’s in the breeze that brushes my skin,
in the sunlight peeking through the trees,
in the stillness between each word I speak.

We’ve all known moments like this—
right before something sacred finds its way in.
When the Lord whispers through the wind,
soft and sure, “It is done.”

And it feels like all of nature knows it too—
like the birds and the branches
have taken up a quiet country song,
singing low and steady in harmony.

Like the whole wide world leans in close,
just to listen.

Those moments feel rare these days.
Folks are busy with their worrying and their talking,
caught up in what the world thinks it knows—
while the Creator still sends His love
drifting through the wind like kisses.

Job 33:14-17

Although God speaks again and again,
no one pays attention to what he says.
At night when people are asleep,
God speaks in dreams and visions.
He makes them listen to what he says,
and they are frightened at his warnings.
God speaks to make them stop their sinning
and to save them from becoming proud.

But today… I was listening.

Like a little girl waiting on Christmas morning,
heart full and eyes wide.

Because I heard Him—clear as day—
sayin’ a change done come.

And the love I thought was lost,
the one I feared had been taken from me…
is finally finding his way home.

Song of Solomon 2:10-11

Come then, my love;
 my darling, come with me.
The winter is over; the rains have stopped
