“4 the Cause was a 1990s GERMANY-BASED group from Oak Park, Chicago, Illinois. The band consisted of the family members Shonna Edwards, Bennie Edwards, Reshonda Landfair, and Jason Edwards.” ¹

There isn’t much you can find now on Reshona’s family group, “4 The Cause.” However, this is a really important factor to note, as it further emphasizes Robert’s innocence. Reshona claimed that she was abused by Robert hundreds of times between 1988 and 2002 (aged between 14 years and 18 years old). But where was Reshona during this time? She was traveling and singing with her family group, which was based (living ) in Germany and had most of its success outside of the United States. She was even said to be in Germany at the time of the last trial. So, one has to ask: if the group was around until the year 2000 and still active in 1999, and if this group was based in Germany with very little success in the USA to keep them on home soil, then where on earth was Reshona, if not in Europe or touring?

A simple search confirms that Reshona and her group were living in Germany between 1998 and 2000—the period she now claims Robert harmed her hundreds of times and appears on the tape. This makes her allegations impossible. During that time, if she were not in Germany, she would have been traveling with her group internationally—but certainly not in the United States.

At the last trial, where Robert was acquitted, Reshona testified truthfully under oath that it was not her on the tape. She even maintained contact with Robert up to his most recent trial, offering encouragement for what he was enduring against corruption.

Friends and family also confirmed that the person on the tape was unrecognizable as Reshona, and the FBI concluded at the time that Robert was not on the video. The criminal conspirators responsible for the tape even boasted online that it was “not even him on the tape.”

What appears to have changed now is Reshona’s character. Allegedly motivated by greed and the promise of financial gain, she was reportedly enticed with a $14 million restitution payment to alter her statement and “cooperate” with the deeply corrupt Chicago prosecutors.

Then there’s Michael Avenatti, the criminal fraud attorney now serving time for high-level fraud, who promoted this tape and falsely claimed to possess multiple tapes of Robert with underage women—claims later proven to be entirely fraudulent.

He was the one who shared this tape with Kim Foxx behind closed doors.

Avenatti’s sociopathic tactics and scheme to frame Robert were laid bare online when supporters confronted him. In his own words, he revealed the plan: to paint Robert as a predator and abuser, all while positioning Kim Foxx for re-election.

At the time, Avenatti was even attempting to campaign for the office of President of the United States.

Take our so-called star witness, Lisa Van Allen. She repeatedly and publicly misrepresented the age at which she met Robert, leading people to believe he committed a crime when, in fact, she was anywhere from 18 to 22. This was evident in plain sight. So why does no one acknowledge the corruption of those pushing these false narratives?

Then there is Reshona, who, as far back as 2002, clearly stated that it was not her on the tape and refused to participate in any attempts to target Robert. Records show she was overseas most, if not half, of the time. Her family and friends also confirmed the person on the tape was unrecognizable as her.

We also have Lisa Van Allen’s ex-fiancé, who claims she confessed to him before plotting to hire two men from Kansas as actors for a deepfake porn tape intended to extort Robert. One of these men was later caught on social media boasting shamelessly about it.

Robert himself did not match the identity, features, or physique of the men shown in the video during that period, as I detailed in my previous blog post. Between 1997 and 1999, he wore a shaved bald head for the majority of the time, with only a brief 3–4 month period of hair growth. His build also did not match that in the doctored tape.

At his last trial, his attorneys even noted that the mole on the back of the man in the video disappeared when he moved—a clear indication that the tape had been doctored.

To further clarify, I will share additional images of Robert from late 1998 through 2000, showing his appearance during this period. His daughter Joann was born in March 1998, and he still had a shaved head at that time. Between January and March 1999, his hair grew to about an inch—but this was the only period that year with that length. All of his music video releases during this period feature him with a shaved head. This was before he transitioned to the TP-2 look, which he maintained throughout the early 2000s.

After her birthday, Robert was on tour from May to July 1999, not even at home during that time. His touring continued extensively through 2003. Refer to Part 4 for a closer look at his intense tour schedule.

One final point I want to make about the tape is something extremely obvious. The actor intentionally repeats that the person is “14 years old.” This repeated reference is a clear indication that the tape was doctored with a sinister purpose: to convince viewers that a 14-year-old was present, even when there was not. The deliberate and repeated mention of age points directly to intentional misrepresentation. To me, it is one of the clearest signs that actors were playing a part, not evidence of a real crime.

Keep in mind: investigators raided everything Robert had, tracked his online activity, and conducted far-reaching searches for evidence of abuse. They found nothing. No evidence of pedophilia, no evidence of abuse toward women or children. Out of desperation, they resurrected this doctored tape and persuaded Reshona to cooperate this time, allegedly with the lure of a restitution payment.

Children are generally honest, even when adults are not. I believe this is why Reshona was truthful at the last trial, acknowledging it wasn’t her on the tape. The false claims about Robert seem to stem from bitterness over his blatant rejection of her later infatuation—a feeling that was never returned. This has nothing to do with Robert’s character or nature. He is the opposite of a bully: kind, loving, forgiving, compassionate, and deeply principled. Over the years, I’ve often had to convince him to stop forgiving enemies, because his heart and spirit naturally lead him to mercy.

This rare spiritual quality reflects pure intentions, not a guilty conscience, as some assume. Robert is not a pushover, but he is far from violent, aggressive, controlling, or manipulative. What has occurred over time is a calculated character assassination, driven by malevolent intent.

Considering all these factors, no respectable investigator or prosecutor should have taken up this case the first time—or again.

I am not a professional investigator; the DOJ had far greater resources and security clearances to thoroughly vet witnesses. Yet they chose not to do so, focusing instead on a man who had already been acquitted after seven years of his life were disrupted—and now facing another six. His relationships, reputation, and career have been irreparably harmed.

All of this could have been avoided if people were more balanced in their judgment and less triggered by the words “child abuse.” Yes, we should be shocked, horrified, and disgusted by real abuse—but we should not leap to condemn someone based solely on hearsay. We must seek the truth, not just evidence that fits a narrative of guilt.

Those who lied and perpetrated this horrendous scheme against an innocent man must be held accountable. The next worst crime to abusing a child or woman is falsely claiming to have been abused—for attention, revenge, money, or power.

May God bring justice for my love, Robert, and for all people like him, simply trying to live their lives, yet unfairly targeted by the worst of human deception.
